The Samaritan Group Endowment Fund
A component Fund of the Gloucester Community Foundation, an Affiliate of The Community Foundation serving Richmond and Central Virginia.
Established in December 2009 by a group of supporters of The Samaritan Group in honor of Dr. Sidney and Marin Dixon, founding members of the Samaritan Group. The purpose of the Fund is to support the general operating needs of the Samaritan Group.

Boozefighters Motorcylce
Sponsored by Boozefighters Chapter 35 –Boozefighters began supporting the Samaritan Group in 2013 with a Poker Run every August.
J.D. Briggs Fund
Each year we sponsor a golf tournament, held at Piankatank Golf Club to support these two programs. A highlight of this event is the awarding of “cake prizes” provided by volunteers for our golfers.

Letter writing campaign
Each year in February and March we have a mail in letter writing campaign. This encompasses a letter for our efforts from the previous year with statistical information on the assistance we were able to provide to Gloucester County Citizens. We include a newsletter review for highlights of the previous year’s activities so that donors have some insight into our work in the community
Giving Tuesday
This is our on-line giving campaign held on the Tuesday after Black Friday. Donations are accepted on-line from individuals other partners who support the Samaritan Group. Many of the local businesses support the local non-profits by donating a portion of their days profits to various agencies.
