Fundraising to Support SGI

Out on the Course for a Good Cause!

The Samaritan Group Golf Tournament

We want to take this moment to thank the many (MANY) businesses and individuals who helped to make The Samaritan Group's 22nd Annual Golf Tournament! Piankatank River Golf Club provided a beautiful site again for this year's event. 27 teams, including 106 golfers participated, and we raised $12,000!! That money will go a long way to support our JD Briggs Children's Fund and the el Shelby Scholarship Fund that assists children and families in Gloucester County.

Your community spirit, generosity and willingness to help others is greatly appreciated! As we continue our work through your financial support, we'll be able to help even more families in need. Together, we are helping others! Thank you!

7th Annual Boozefighters Poker Run

Boozefighters Chapter 35 Poker RunBoozefighters Chapter 35 held their 8th Annual Samaritan Poker run on Saturday August 25th with final stop at Fatboys in Suffolk. There was tremendous turnout that day!

On Sunday, Sept 9th, SGI members met at The Wild Horse Country Cafe & Malt Shoppe to receive the check from the poker run. Additionally, we received another donation from group member's mother - as well as a donation from the owner of the Café! What a blessing!!
